We are constantly sharpening our skills in each element of the B-BBEE scorecard and are poised to assist organizations develop watertight documents, governing each department as desired, to reach maximum compliance.

B.R.A.W has also found the need to assist our clients with supplementary services such as Supplier Development, Strategy, Validation and Certificate Collection. These additional services are add-on services and are quotable upon request from our clients. We have a dedicated team tasked with the execution of these services. Incorporated in our Supplementary Services are the following:
BBBEE CLIENT SYSTEM
This document provides a high level overview of the BEE system being developed to serve our clients BEE system requirements. The BEE System (BS) is an online system set to manage the company’s BEE. The BS will allow primarily have the following functions:

BEE Scorecard calculator

Scenario Planning Tool

BEE Analysis Tool

In essence the BS will allow its users to create BEE scorecard, analyze their strengths and weakness and plan ahead on methods to improve their BEE compliance. Additional functionality applications will be added when required by the client. The section below describes the above listed application functions:

01 BEE SCORECARD CALCULATOR

The BEE scorecard calculator is the heart of the system. As a company or a group of companies, the BS will allow the creation of each subsidiaries/divisions BEE scorecard and the system will automatically create a group consolidated scorecard.

Head office or the process overseer will be able to track the performance of each subsidiary at any time. In summary the scorecard calculator does the following:

  • Calculates the BEE score element per element for each company.
  • Based on the calculation the system produces the status level per company.
  • The scorecard calculator then automatically creates a consolidated BEE scorecard.
  • Allows its users to view reviews for each element.

The system can allow each division, IE RBM to look its specific requirements and make a determination of the strengths or weaknesses of each element.

02 THE SCENARIO PLANNER

The scenario planner allows the user to play around with different scenarios within their BEE scorecard to observe the changes that those scenarios have on the current scorecard. This allows the user to plan actions required to meet the scenario objectives. Head office will be able to view each subsidiary’s scenario plan and check the subsidiary’s performance towards the goals of the scenario.

03 THE BEE ANALYSIS TOOL

The BEE Analysis Tool is an application that converts the complicated jargon and numbers of the BEE scorecard into charts and simplified analysis that most can understand. The tool is particularly useful for presentations and report writing. The BEE Analysis Tool however does contain generic reports that the user may download.

FUTURE APPLICATIONS

THE SYSTEM WILL LATER ADD IN ADDITIONAL FEATURES SUCH AS:

VERIFICATION FILE COMPILER

This application will assist the users compile all the required documents to compile the BEE verification file. Head office will be able to pin point where documents are missing for the file and who is responsible for those documents by the time of verification.

VERIFICATION FILE COMPILER

With the regular usage, the system will be able to generate the numbers for the Employment Equity Report tables.

THE SKILLS TRAINING MONITOR

The amended BEE codes require companies to have a skills monitoring tool. This application serves to meet the requirement.

The BEE scorecard can be used to calculate the BEE scorecard from the previous measurement or for Year to Date (YTD) measurement period.

The system is geared towards allowing users to interact seamlessly between different departments and allows for the administrator to track where in their BBBEE strategy there may be shortfall, furthermore with a monitoring tool, the company has an overall control of their compliance requisites.

Simply by having such a tool, you are able to influence organization goals vs. the targets set out by the DTI, therefore you can make informed decisions having a total view of internal & external factors.
